Baby Travel Systems

What Are Baby Travel Systems?

Baby Travel Systems have one major thing in common; they provide a method to attach the baby’s infant seat to a stroller so the baby does not have to be removed from the infant seat to transport it.   Having this ability to convert a stroller into a Baby Travel System is a major convenience to the parent.

Baby Travel Systems are about keeping a sleeping baby asleep.  Even if the baby isn’t sleeping when the parent starts a trip to the store or doctor’s office, the baby very well could be sleeping when the chore is done and taking the baby out of the stroller to put back in the infant seat would have the same negative effect of waking the baby up.

Baby Travel Systems are about stroller usability.   There are many types of Baby Travel Systems.  Even newer models of joggers and other three wheeled strollers provide this feature.   However, when talking about Baby Travel Systems most people are looking for convenience.  For the parent it should be something that is light, easy to use, and easy to store and retrieve.  For the baby, it needs to be safe and provide a smooth ride.

The most common types are similar to the one shown below made by Peg Perego.  Similar models are made by all the major Infant seat companies, Graco, Combi, Britax, Chicco, Safety 1st, Orbit Baby etc.  They range in price quite dramatically, from $200 up to $900, with a large selection available around $300 to $400.  They provide a fairly smooth ride for the baby, usually fold easily and also fairly easy to use.  A major benefit to these types of strollers is that they can be used as the child grows, extending the life of the stroller past the first year.

Baby Travel Systems Common Features

  • is a set consisting of a chassis with a detachable baby seat
  • the detached chassis (generally an umbrella closing chassis) when folded will usually be smaller than other types
  • baby seat will snap into a base meant to stay in an automobile, becoming a car seat
  • allows undisturbed movement of the baby from the car to the stroller, reducing the chance of waking a sleeping baby

Why Buy The Infant Cruizer Travel System?

The Infant Cruizer Travel Sytem is a  true one-handed travel system - One hand to carry, unfold, secure car seat, and push. It’s perfect for everyday use, travel, and public transportation.

Custom Adaptors made to snap fit each of the selected infant seats makes the Infant Cruizer unique.  The infant seat fits more securely than the other types of Travels Systems without a safety strap required.  The parent can even carry the infant seat and the Infant Cruizer by the handle of the infant seat, allowing one parent to maneuver steps by themselves.  At 12 pounds it is lighter than either of the other types or with its unique fold up design and telescopic handle, it saves a ton of space.  This makes it more convenient and more likely to be used for the shorter trips. Its 12 inch wheels provide a very smooth ride for the baby and even allow the stroller to go over curbs.  It has a toddler adaptor that extends the product life, by turning it into a travel system for toddler seats that can be used when traveling.

The Infant Cruizer is a fantastically convenient travel system for parents who travel with small children, frequently or otherwise. It is also great for maneuvering your child through an urban environment. Its compact design, easy push, and car seat compatibility reduces the need for a stroller on short or long-distance voyages. The Infant Cruizer's fold up design and telescoping handle save a TON of space over full size strollers. With the Toddler Adapter the Infant Cruizer can be used for years as your child grows.
